Dave Koz & Friends to Play the Van Wezel, 11/23

This year, Sarasota will help Dave Koz and Friends celebrate the 15th Anniversary of his Christmas Tour. The legendary saxophonist's tour will debut at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall on November 23, 2012. The Christmas Tour 2012 follows in the success of his Grammy-nominated album, "Hello Tomorrow," and features songs from his four classic Christmas Albums.

A favorite for all ages, the vibrancy of a Dave Koz performance can, in-part, be attributed to his desire for touring with unique, virtuosic, and high energy musicians from a diverse array of musical backgrounds. Accompanying him on his 15th Anniversary is Grammy-nominated pianist/composer David Benoit; outstanding vocalist and winner of the inaugural season of NBC's "The Voice," Javier Colon; famed drummer/percussionist/vocalist, the one and only, Sheila E; and singer/song writer Margo Rey. With an All-Star band this great backing him up, Dave Koz and Friends are undoubtedly going to live up to their reputation as one of Sarasota's most anticipated acts, while simultaneously helping everyone reel in the 2012 holiday season!
