I LOVE A PIANO, GOD OF CARNAGE, HOW TO SUCCEED and More Set for Riverside Theatre's 2013-14 Season

Riverside-Theatre-Announces-2013-14-Season-20010101

Riverside Theatre's 2013-2014 Season will again be another ambitious one in celebration od the theatre's 40th Anniversary. On the Stark Stage four great musicals will be presented to delight our audiences. On the Waxlax Stage an uproarious comedy and musical revue are scheduled. Riverside's new season will build on the great success of last season, which brought a record number of patrons and lifted subscriptions to new heights.

"We couldn't have been happier with the acceptance of shows this season," says Allen D. Cornell, Riverside Theatre's Producing Artistic Director. "It was such a great group of fun, entertaining shows and I was astounded by the reception it received throughout the Treasure Coast. Ain't Misbehavin', Funny Girl, and our current production, Les Miserables, have garnered raves from critics and audiences alike, I am so grateful for the community's support that I wanted our 40th season to again showcase great theatre - shows that our audiences expect from Riverside. To that end, three of the productions on The Stark Stage will have huge casts, and we will again do a production with one of America's most prestigious theatre companies, Philadelphia's Walnut Street Theatre."

The season begins in October with a wonderful musical showcasing the songs of Irving Berlin, I Love A Piano. January brings the International hit Miss Saigon to the Stark Stage and the uproarious comedy God of Carnage to the Waxlax Stage. February brings the classic Rodgers and Hammerstein sensation, South Pacific and the musical revue Closer Than Ever takes the Waxlax Stage in March featuring the songs of Richard Maltby and David Shire. The exuberant and whimsical musical How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying concludes our 40th Anniversary celebration.

Subscriptions are now available. For more information on prices and subscription options, call the Box Office at 772-231-6990.
