Melissa Minyard to Lead Mad Cow's NEXT TO NORMAL

Mad Cow Theatre today announced the cast for Next to Normal, the 2010 Pulitzer Prize winner for Drama with book and lyrics by Brian Yorkey and music by Tom Kitt & Brian Yorkey.
 
The role of Diana Goodman will be played by Melissa Minyard.  Melissa was seen on Broadway in the role of Cossette in Les Miserables and is a Carbonell Award nominee for her performance as Fantine in the South Florida staging of Les Mis at Actor’s Playhouse. Other roles include The Baker’s Wife (Into the Woods) Lilly (The Secret Garden), and Kathy (The Last Five Years) at the Plaza Theatre in Orlando as well as performing in Mad Cow Theatre’s Orlando Cabaret Festival.
 
Melissa is joining the previously announced cast of Next to Normal: Mad Cow Alumni Stephan Jones (A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Next Fall, Sweeney Todd, The Fantasticks) as Dan, and Emily Walton (La Boheme) as Natalie,  BranDon Allen Wood as Gabe, David Shipman as Dr. Fine/Dr. Madden, and Damian Barray as Henry in their Mad Cow debuts.  Bob Brandenburg (Orlando Cabaret Festival, The Drowsy Chaperone) directs along with Philip King as musical director.
